Ingredients
2 beef short ribs
1.5 tbsp RoniB's Kitchen Garlic Chilli Paste
5 tbsp RoniB's Kitchen Tamarind Jam
Salt and pepper to taste
SAUCE
Drippings from the beef short ribs
150ml red wine
1 tsp cornflour dissolved in 2tsp water
50g butter
Salt and pepper to taste
How to
Heat oven to 180C
Sprinkle salt and pepper over the beef short ribs
In a bowl, mix together the Garlic Chilli Paste and Tamarind Jam until well blended
Take a sheet of aluminium foil (enough to cover the ribs) and create a pocket then place the beef ribs
Pour over the tamarind and garlic chilli paste mix, making sure the beef ribs are well coated. Seal the aluminium foil.
Place in a baking pan and roast for about 1.5 hours or until the beef ribs are soft.
When cooked, rest the beef ribs and reserve the drippings.
Prepare the sauce. In a small saucepan, add the red wine and drippings, reduce to about half. Add the butter. Adjust seasonings to taste then finish with butter. Serve on the side.
This dish is so easy to make and uses 2 of our products - Garlic Chilli Paste and Tamarind Jam. Mix, coat and put it in the oven and forget about it until ready. A really tasty meal without breaking a sweat.
